On January 2017, Bright Vision Hospital's Dietetics department launched monthly cooking demonstrations for our elderly patients.

During classes, patients learn how to incorporate healthy and nutritious ingredients in simple meals.

In this class, our dietitians taught patients how to make a Dou Miao smoothie!

 

Dou Miao Smoothie (High-energy, High-protein Drink)

  • 1 red apple (remove skin, cut into cubes)
  • 1 cup of pineapple (remove skin, cut into cubes)
  • 3 celery stalks (raw)
  • 1 cup of dou miao vegetables (raw)
  • 200ml of milk supplement (vanilla flavour)
  • Shredded mozarella cheese (optional)
